The Revolutionary Prosecutor of Bandar Abbas city of Iran brings the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi to trial

Arjang Davoodi

According to the reports received by the “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran” (HRDAI), the interrogators of Ministry of Intelligence and National Security (MISIRI) of Mullah Ali Khamenei have implemented new case building plan against the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi and have summoned him to The Revolutionary Prosecutor of Bandar Abbas.
The political prisoner Arjang Davoodi was taken to the Branch 5 of assistant counselor of Bandar Abbas prosecutor following a new case building by the MISIRI interrogators and a new case was constituted against him by an individual called “Panahi” who was an ex-interrogator of the MISIRI.
The allegations that the interrogators have mentioned against him are: 1-Action as to disrupting the order in ward 209 of the Evin Prison, 2- Lecturing for the adjacent cells’ prisoners and announcing his status report and incitement other prisoners to resist, 3- Writing slogans against the leadership of the country on the toilet of the No. 45 solitary confinement of ward 209 of Evin prison.
Panahi, head of Bandar Abbas city Branch 5 of assistant counselor of the prosecutor interrogated Davoodi and filed a lawsuit and a 15 million Tomans arrest warrant against this imprisoned teacher.
Prisoner Arjang Davoodi has spent in Khamenei's prisons under inhumane medieval conditions, since 2003. Mullah Ali Khamenei’s Office ordered confiscation of his house; his spouse was arrested for 4 months and was kept and tortured in solitary confinement of the ward 209 of Evin prison for no reason.
Since his imprisonment, the MISIRI interrogators have moved the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi to the solitary confinements of the ward 209 for several times and have arranged case building against him despite his status as an inmate. He has been transferred to the notorious prison of Bandar Abbas since several months ago and is being kept in inhuman conditions without having the right to have contact with or visit his family.
Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran condemns new case building against the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi and establishing inhuman limitations against him and depriving him from his preliminary human rights. We urge the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and other international authorities to refer Ali Khamenei’s case to the international courts for trial to end the against humanity deeds of Iranian regime.

Zahedan political prisoners sent urgent appeal to UN High Commissioner ‒UN Special Rapporteur for Human

A large number of political prisoners in Zahedan Prison sent urgent appeal to the High Commissioner for Human Rights and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to address the deteriorating medieval and inhuman prison conditions. This letter of appeal has been sent to “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran” (HRDAI), for sending to the UN officials and publication in the media:
We are a large number of political prisoners in Zahedan central prison, living in undesirable and deplorable condition. We want to raise our strong objection to the poor and wretched situation of the jail and request for consideration by the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights.
1-Keeping of prisoners: in any 4×5m room a number of 30-35 prisoners and in a 2×3m cell some 12 to 15 people are kept. Most of the prisoners lack a bed to sleep and they sleep on the floor. Since bringing blankets and clothing into the prison is prohibited, every prisoner has only 2-3 blankets which will not suffice the cold season. The wards are not well heated and the only fan coil of the ward is always producing wind chill.
The imprisoned must wake up at 6 am. The guards to put pressure on all the prisoners take them outdoors, and keep them long in the coldest weather of morning, making prone to get sick. After coming into the ward and having breakfast, again they are forced back to the yard from 8 to 11 in the cold weather of morning, making the prisoners vulnerable to be diseased.
3- Health care status: Health status is not desirable in Zahedan prison; most prisoners are sick and those who are affected with contagious diseases often are not isolated from the healthy individuals and both are kept together. Lack of 24 hour physician is problematic, and every prisoner can only once every 2 or 3 months go to the clinic for treatment. If visited by the doctor, there is no medication to prescribe for the patients, and specialized drugs such as psychiatric drugs, etc. are sold on the black market by the brokers. In any case, those who have a heart attack or heart failure by accident will lose life through lack of medication and treatment. Even the prisoners who die due to an ordinary illness, the cause of demise is reported in the medical report as “shortage of narcotics”.
3- Sanitary conditions: Although more than 400 to 500 people are imprisoned in a ward, there are only 5 bathrooms and 6 toilets for this number of prisoners; often 1 or 2 of them are ruined and useless. Water of the services is discontinued 2 days a week and there is only hot water available for 2 hours daily for bath which is not sufficient for all the prisoners. For this reason, the vermin like lice has caused skin diseases among inmates.
4- Nutritional status: Only half a loaf is given per prisoner per day is. For breakfast, 5 times per week and each time 10 grams of cheese, jam once, and boiled egg for once are given. Poor quality cooked rice without stew and cooking oil is served 6 days a week for lunch. For dinner, soup 5 times a week and once potato and eggs are served. Food is generally of poor quality, which makes most inmates to be malnourished. Meanwhile, those having financial strength can provide themselves with something to eat from the store, but unfortunately the poor ones are inevitably to use poor quality food of the jail.
5-The store conditions: The prison shop status is not good at all and most of the items are offered several times the price of outside. Many prisoners’ needed groceries are not available at the store; it sells to the inmates all the poor quality expired goods that cannot be sold outside. It is for 2 weeks now that washing powder, slippers and more essential items are not available in the prison store.
6-Dealing with the prisoners: Officers show inhumane treatment toward the prisoners and even some beat and torture the prisoners for no reason. When a prisoner returns back from the leave or visiting his family, the officers sometimes hold the prisoner at the entrance door of the prison hall, tied hand and foot, under the pretext that he may bring drugs with him into the jail. This is another way of torturing and character assassination of the prisoners.

Mullah’s Regime Executes a Prisoner in Zahedan Central Prison

Artwork by Badban, Iranian cartoonist

According to the reports received by the “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran” (HRDAI), a prisoner was hanged in Zahedan central prison at dawn this morning.

On Monday morning, January 7, 2012, Javad Rafiee, 50 years old, was hanged in Zahedan central prison after 6 years of being imprisoned. The jail officials removed him from the ward after deceiving his cellmates the day before his execution. He was once moved into the quarantine solitary confinements on Saturday Dec. 29, 2012 for inhuman execution verdict. But when the officials’ intention was disclosed, they inevitably returned him back on the fear of the prisoners’ riot.

The policy of execution of the political prisoners, group hangings of regular prisoners and bloody suppression of Iranian people is adopted by Ali Khamnei. This policy is implemented by Mullahs’ network, specially mullah Sadegh Larijani, head of Judiciary –appointed by Khamenei- one of the criminals against humanity and Mullah Moslehi, Minister of Intelligence and Sohrab Soleymani, Head of the Prisons’ Organization of I.R.I.

Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran condemns the daily group executions in Iran led by the Mullahs for creating fear atmosphere in the society. We urge the UN Secretary General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other international authorities to refer the Mullah Ali Khamenei’s dossier to the international judiciary bodies for trial to end the violations of human rights and crime against humanity in Iran.

A youth is close to death in Saravan prison due to lack of treatment

Based on the received reports by “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran", a Balouch fellow prisoner because of inhumane pressures was faced a brain stroke in Saravan prison. Following the stroke he was transferred to the central prison of Zahedan, but he is being completely paralyzed and endangered to die according to the delay of hospitalizing.
The prisoner, Abdolnabi Souri, 31 years old, got stroke 1 month a go in the central prison of Saravan, but  was not received any treatment.
This prisoner was transferred to the central prison of Zahedan. The health care staff after initial investigations requested for sending him to the department of Neurology of outside hospitals. But Yousefi, a criminal director of the prison clinic prevented him to be transferred for cure.
The situation of prisoner, Abdolnabi Souri, who is for 10 days in the prison clinic, is worsening. First the left area of his body was paralyzed and recently his right area also is being paralyzed, such that he cannot speak any more.
Mr Mohammadian, and Parsi, and the nurses of the clinic repeatedly asked the director of the clinic to immediately transfer the prisoner to the hospital, otherwise he will lose his life.
So far, Yousefi, by no admission, has been responsible for the death and disabilities that has happened for several prisoners. This person, recently has ordered the authorities of the clinic not to transfer the severely ill prisoners to the clinic in the evening and night shifts.
“Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran" condemns the systematic method of lacking of the treatment for defenseless prisoners that causes death and disabilities, and urges  High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur to refer Mullahs' regime and Mullah Ali Khamenei’s case of crimes against humanity to the international courts.

New ways of barbaric tortures against defenseless prisoners in Zahedan prison

Artwork by Mana Neyestani, Iranian cartoonist
Based on the received reports by “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”,new ways of barbaric tortures against defenseless prisoners are used by guards of supreme leader in Zahedan prison.
One of the methods of inhumane tortures which is used for long time in Zahedan prison against defenseless prisoners is as follows: In one of the corridors of prison, some bars are installed on the wall with 180 Cm height. The hands of prisoner are tied by bracelets to these bars and the prisoner is hanged for 6 days and nights.
The prisoner can use just three times the bathroom and 3 meals with poor quality.
The defenseless prisoner is exposed to cold outdoor climate of the desert and cannot change clothes.
The prisoner is physically and psychologically weakened by the cold weather, lacking of the proper cloths, enough sleep and food.
The guards of supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, tie the prisoner in a place such that all other prisoners can see to insult and create intimidate atmosphere in the prison to prevent them defending their rights.
On the other hand, the prisoner is forced to eat castor oil few times a day that results in diarrhea and dehydration and makes difficult conditions for the prisoner.
After these tortures the prisoner suffers from the pains in kidney, gastrointestinal upset and muscles  discomfort.
One of the prisoners, Reza Sayadi, 37 years old, was under this kind of torture on Turseday, 13 Dec.
Previously, he was tortured in this way for 3 days, and because of disclosing of the torture, he supposed to be 6 more days under this torture.
Mohammad Narouei, the Chief inspector of the Zahedan prison, is one of torturers and criminals against humanity that provides drugs for mafia bands in the prison to sell to the prisoners who need to escape pains and medieval conditions for a while, and send the money to Narouei. This torturer and criminal against humanity is extremely cruel and inhumane that made this kind of torture.
The policy of mass executions , torturing, oppression is ordered by Mullah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the regime, and is executed by  sadegh Larijani who is in the list of international human rights violators and criminals against humanity, Mullah Moslehi, the intelligence minister through interrogators and torturers of intelligence ministry, and Soleimani, the chief of prisons organization.
The mullahs call these inhumane actions as Islamic compassion type of the mullah’s regime.
“Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”condemns using the new kinds of inhumane tortures which gradually is disclosure, and urges High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Special Rapporteur, and other international authorities to refer mullah Ali Khamenei case to the international  court.

Amnesty International: Still no explanation or justice for blogger who died in custody

Iran: Still no explanation or justice for blogger who died in custody
The mother of an Iranian blogger who died in custody was among those attacked by security forces today at her son’s graveside, prompting Amnesty International to call once more for a thorough and impartial investigation into the 35-year-old’s death.
Sattar Beheshti, from Robat Karim south-west of Tehran, was buried on 7 November. According to officials he died in the Cyber Police detention facility on 3 November.
Security forces and men in plainclothes reportedly attacked mourners on Thursday as they marked 40 days since his death – which in Iran closes the traditional mourning period for the deceased.
It appears that Beheshti’s mother was injured in the assault and there are reports that one person was arrested.
The attack came amid ongoing harassment of the blogger’s family members and concerns about the independence of investigations into his death.
“What is especially devastating for Sattar Beheshti’s family is that even though their traditional mourning period has come to a close, there are still many unanswered questions about how and why he died while in the custody of the Cyber Police,” said Ann Harrison, Deputy Director of Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Programme.
“The Iranian authorities must ensure that the ongoing investigations into the incident – and all other deaths in custody – are thorough, impartial and in line with international human rights law and standards, leading to those responsible being brought to justice. Intimidation and attacks against Sattar Beheshti’s family must not be tolerated.”
Following his arrest on 30 October at his home in Robat Karim, Beheshti’s family had no further contact with him until 6 November when they received a telephone call telling them to collect his body from Kahrizak detention centre.
Before being transferred to the Cyber Police detention centre, Beheshti had been held for one night in Section 350 of Tehran’s Evin Prison. While there, he lodged a complaint with the Evin Prison authorities claiming that his interrogators had tortured him after his arrest.
Fellow prisoners at Evin Prison later wrote an open letter corroborating that allegation, saying they had seen torture marks on his body.
Investigations under way
The Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and the Judiciary’s High Commission for Human Rights have both launched investigations into the incident.
But various judicial officials and parliamentarians have given contradictory explanations for the blogger’s death even before the investigations have been completed, raising serious concerns about their impartiality, independence and transparency.
The role of the Cyber Police
On 27 November, Iran’s police chief, Brigadier General Esma'il Ahmadi-Moghaddam, accepted partial responsibility for Beheshti’s death in custody.
The head of Iran’s Cyber Police was subsequently removed from his position, but a member of the parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission later denied the removal had anything to do with the blogger’s death.
Family members silenced
Family members have also been threatened with arrest if they speak to the media about the case.
The family’s lawyer has expressed concern that the case – which is currently undergoing a criminal investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office – may not go to court.
“It is very troubling that Sattar Beheshti’s family members appear to be under pressure not to demand their right to justice over this fatal incident,” said Harrison.
“In addition to bringing charges against anyone responsible for torture or for causing his death, without imposing the death penalty, the authorities must not block this – or any other’s family’s – right to access justice.”
Amnesty International has over the years repeatedly raised concerns about torture and other ill-treatment of detainees in Iran, including cases where deaths in custody appear to have resulted from such treatment.

Torture and threatening to exile of Baluchi fellow political prisoners

Torture, By Reza Olia

According to the reports received by the "Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran", three Baluchi political compatriots were transferred to the Intelligence Bureau of Zahedan central prison and were put under interrogations accompanied with physical torture and threatening of enforced exile.
On Wednesday, November 28, 2012 the political prisoners Habib Riginejad Shouraki and Ayyoub Rigi together with one of the non-political prisoners called Yarmohamad Sholehbar who had contacts with the in jail were called to the intelligence bureau of Zahedan central prison and were interrogated and physically and psychologically tortured were threatened for enforced exile to Khalkhal prison (northwest of Iran).
Habib Riginejad Shouraki and Ayyoub Rigi, the political prisoners were returned back to the ward 4 after several hours of interrogations. These two prisoners are kept in the prison as hostage for the mere reason of being from the Rigi Tribe. Mohamad Marzieyeh, the General Attorney of Mollah Ali Khamenei’s in Sistan and Baluchistan province has frequently threatened the tribes’ families that he will hang the hostage members in case any single accident of any kind happens against the regime in the province.
Yarmohamad Sholehbar, the third prisoner was transferred into the solitary confinements of the prison quarantine. During the move into his cell he was intensely tortured and was jailed in a cell lacking any kind of primary hygiene requirements; His diet has been reduced to the limit of viability.
This prisoner is currently being held in solitary confinement in handcuffs and shackles. He is now spending his lifetime in prison for several months without any foreseeable decision by the officials. One of the reasons for his transfer to solitary cells was his protest against inhumane prison conditions, severe reduction of the prisoners’ diet and catastrophic health status of the prison and medical negligence towards the inmates.
The prisoner Yarmohamad Sholehbar is now in hunger strike since moved into the solitary confinements and is certain of continuing it.
A Torturer called “Gholami” who is the chief of the intelligence bureau of Zahedan province is responsible for the inhuman physical and psychological tortures against the political and non-political prisoners who raise strong objections to the inhuman conditions of the prison.
Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran condemns the brutal torturing and threatening of the defenseless prisoners to exile them from their residence to the far distanced points and urges the UN Secretary General, High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to refer the case of crimes against humanity of Mullah Ali khamenei to International judiciary authorities courts for trial to end the against humanity crimes of the Mullahs’ regime in Iran.

Acute physical condition of an exiled political prisoner in Zahedan prison

According to the received reports by “ Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”, health condition of political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, is very acute because of intentional lacking of treatment by the order of Intelligence Ministry interrogators of supreme leader mullah Ali Khamenei.
For long period, the political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi is suffering from acute infection of renal and severe pain with blood in urine. This problem has approved by the clinic of the prison which lacks of the minimum medical facilities and the authorities are called to immediately proceed for his treatment, otherwise the infection will spread over his blood, and seriously endanger his life. This disease is the result of brutal tortures by Intelligence Ministry Interrogators for more than 7 months in solitary confinements.
The prison clinic said to political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, that they do not have the possibility to hospitalize him and give the required medicines.
Preventing to treat this political prisoner is performed by the order of Intelligence Ministry interrogators, and Urmia prosecutors, Nowroozi.
Political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, some time a go, by the order of Intelligence Ministry Interrogators, was exiled from the prison in Urmia city to the central prison in Zahedan. Currently, this political prisoner is held along with dangerous criminals, and few times was raided and beaten by Intelligence agents of the prison.
On the other hand, the food quality of the prison has been extremely degraded and prisoners are facing malnourishment and excessive hunger.
“Human rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”, condemns the acute physical condition and lacking of treatment of this political prisoner that has seriously endangered his life, and urges the general secretary of UN, UN High Commissioner and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to refer the case of Supreme leader, Mullah Ali khamenei, crimes against humanity to International courts.

Last blog post by martyr Sattar Beheshti

They threaten me: "keep your mouth shut, or your mouth will be closed."
Recently, the Islamic Republic of Iran has put the activists and independent Iranians under severe pressure; so that they have been deprived of expressing their opinion about the country’s affairs.
To intimidate the people, they do everything, from threatening, to detaining and torture! Every day they put a new obstacle on the way of the ordinary people. Sending threatening emails and messages, and beating in the streets is the minimum action they do!
Yesterday, I was threatened: “tell your mother soon she should morn you with black clothes if you do not close your big mouth."
I told them I am not doing anything wrong, forcing me to keep my mouth shut.  They tell me that I have a big mouth! I just write what I see and hear.
They say that: “we do everything we want. We will behave as we want; and you should keep quiet; and do not share any information, or you will be strangled; and there won't be any sign of you! Without anyone knowing what becomes of you! They claim that people of  Palestinian and Bahrain are suffering, and no one remembers them. You are a traitor!
Me and people like me are not traitors. We love our nation. You are the xenophobes and traitors.
Threatening telephone calls comes day and night. It is as if we must keep silence with every word of threat.
As an Iranian, I cannot be silent in the face of all adversity. I say, gentlemen, you talk to much, and you have brought destruction to this country with incredible nonsense. I will not remain silent; even if my death moment comes, I refuse to be intimidated by your treats and no matter where in the world these threats come from!
Gentlemen, clam up: Do not be cruel, and we will not disclosure.
Islamic Republic cries over the tragedy in Palestine, Bahrain and many countries, and expresses concern over the lack of freedom of speech and flow of information in these countries! But yet they forget to mention where all these professionally taken films and photos come? They do not say how the world is unaware of the situation in those countries, while the regime’s reporters and the television network directly broadcast live from inside!
Unilateral reports, and these and the people are forced to see and hear these things, so that you feel nausea and disgust of seeing IRIB network. Yet, they remain silent facing the plight of continued human rights violations! They do not mention the daily arrest, torture, imprisonment and mass executions. The regime puts the political prisoners in the worst conditions to break their moral so that they surrender. But there is no news of their where about to the lawyers: as a matter of fact, they are not even allowed to have a lawyer! More over the families of the prisoners are not informed about the well being of their loved ones! The regime constantly threatens the prisoners' families forbidding them of any interviews and giving information about their loved ones! They do not terminate the threatening process to this stage, and add: “if you spread any news about your imprisoned family members, you and your family lives will be compromised!”
They state “we arrest the females and other family members.” This is their slogan: “we arrest and torture, you may remain silent! Don’t say anything! Do not bring up awareness!"
Gentlemen! What kind of a law is this!? Where in the world has this kind of lawful been practiced? How in the world are you supposedly granting and gifting such judiciary system to people where this kind of law is enforced under tyrant systems! Believe me, the worst dictators in the world have not picked your kind of governing! And even if it was enforced, was under the rule of law! It did not proclaimed as a rule of God to distort the name of God and religion! Why should there be arrests, tortures, and executions, and the families be silenced?! Why won't you leave us alone, and let another government rules you the same way you rule us! Then you will get a taste your own medicine! This system of yours does not even compare to the rule of jungle! If you are so certain of your righteousness, and talents, why are you so fearful of being retold? Let the other parts of the world know about your wonderful system! And how wonderful you implement your laws! If you believe what you do is wrong and so low why do it?! Why would you put the country through this if you believe there will be a mockery out of you by the rest of the world?!!! How is it that your approved agents, and press reporters are allowed freely to get reports on other parts of the world? Where as in Iran, the international media is prohibited to take reports or even if they do, it must be approved by your government?! How is your television network correspondents are all over the world freely broadcasting your propaganda? But other News networks around the world either are not allowed to report about Iran or if they do, are mandated to report what you approve of?! Just to remain in power a bit longer, worth this tyranny and cruelty? Does this implementation of your made up law hurts your conscience?
Now, I will give you my piece of mind, If you are afraid of flow of information, either abdicate, or stop the tyranny and oppression! Don't arrest, torture, slaughter, so there won't be any flow of news! Otherwise, not only we will inform, but soon enough we will bring down your system of oppression and injustice. disclosing of injustice and human right violations is the duty of every individual of a society, and if anybody comes short on this matter, is betraying it's own conscience!
 The ones chose to be silenced shall dug a hole for themselves! And you Gentlemen are willing to keep us quiet even if this dissent was expressed in a private family corner! So stop threatening because we know of no fear! We are not afraid of your torture and flog! You can't make us silence of informing! If your slogan is arrest and torture to make us silent and keep out the information, our motto is we are in for the battle, and in this path either we shall be free of our body or your cage! Viva Iran Viva Iranians;
