The Revolutionary Prosecutor of Bandar Abbas city of Iran brings the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi to trial

According to the reports received by the “Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran” (HRDAI), the interrogators of Ministry of Intelligence and National Security (MISIRI) of Mullah Ali Khamenei have implemented new case building plan against the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi and have summoned him to The Revolutionary Prosecutor of Bandar Abbas.  

The political prisoner Arjang Davoodi was taken to the Branch 5 of assistant counselor of Bandar Abbas prosecutor following a new case building by the MISIRI interrogators and a new case was constituted against him by an individual called “Panahi” who was an ex-interrogator of the MISIRI.       

The allegations that the interrogators have mentioned against him are: 1-Action as to disrupting the order in ward 209 of the Evin Prison, 2- Lecturing for the adjacent cells’ prisoners and announcing his status report and incitement other prisoners to resist, 3- Writing slogans against the leadership of the country on the toilet of the No. 45 solitary confinement of ward 209 of Evin prison.

Panahi, head of Bandar Abbas city Branch 5 of assistant counselor of the prosecutor interrogated Davoodi and filed a lawsuit and a 15 million Tomans arrest warrant against this imprisoned teacher.  

Prisoner Arjang Davoodi has spent in Khamenei's prisons under inhumane medieval conditions, since 2003. Mullah Ali Khamenei’s Office ordered confiscation of his house; his spouse was arrested for 4 months and was kept and tortured in solitary confinement of the ward 209 of Evin prison for no reason.

Since his imprisonment, the MISIRI interrogators have moved the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi to the solitary confinements of the ward 209 for several times and have arranged case building against him despite his status as an inmate. He has been transferred to the notorious prison of Bandar Abbas since several months ago and is being kept in inhuman conditions without having the right to have contact with or visit his family.  

Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran condemns new case building against the political prisoner Arjang Davoodi and establishing inhuman limitations against him and depriving him from his preliminary human rights. We urge the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and other international authorities to refer Ali Khamenei’s case to the international courts for trial to end the against humanity deeds of Iranian regime.

U.S. demands Iran release hunger-striking human rights lawyer

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Friday demanded that Iran free jailed human rights activist Nasrin Sotoudeh, who it said has been on hunger strike for more than six weeks, and sharply criticized Iranian authorities for their treatment of the 49-year-old prize-winning lawyer.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said reports of Sotoudeh's rapidly declining health were deeply troubling, and that she had been denied medical care and kept in solitary confinement.

"We demand the Iranian government cease its intolerable mistreatment of Sotoudeh and immediately release her and the more than 30 other female political prisoners detained in Evin Prison," Nuland said in a statement.

Sotoudeh, who last month was awarded the European Union's Sakharov prize for human rights and freedom of thought, was arrested in September 2010 on suspicion of spreading propaganda and conspiring to harm state security. She is serving a six-year jail sentence in solitary confinement.

She has defended journalists and rights activists, including Iranian Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi and Dutch national Zahra Bahrami, who was hanged in January 2011 on drug trafficking charges.

"We remain concerned for Sotoudeh's well-being given Iran's history of withholding treatment from prisoners and allowing them to die from hunger strikes," Nuland said.

Sotoudeh began a hunger strike on October 17, according to the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran. She is protesting against a travel ban placed on her daughter and authorities' limits on visits with her family, the group said.

Acute physical condition of an exiled political prisoner in Zahedan prison

According to the received reports by “ Human Rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”, health condition of political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, is very acute because of intentional lacking of treatment by the order of Intelligence Ministry interrogators of supreme leader mullah Ali Khamenei.
For long period, the political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi is suffering from acute infection of renal and severe pain with blood in urine. This problem has approved by the clinic of the prison which lacks of the minimum medical facilities and the authorities are called to immediately proceed for his treatment, otherwise the infection will spread over his blood, and seriously endanger his life. This disease is the result of brutal tortures by Intelligence Ministry Interrogators for more than 7 months in solitary confinements.
The prison clinic said to political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, that they do not have the possibility to hospitalize him and give the required medicines.
Preventing to treat this political prisoner is performed by the order of Intelligence Ministry interrogators, and Urmia prosecutors, Nowroozi.
Political prisoner, Iraj Mohammadi, some time a go, by the order of Intelligence Ministry Interrogators, was exiled from the prison in Urmia city to the central prison in Zahedan. Currently, this political prisoner is held along with dangerous criminals, and few times was raided and beaten by Intelligence agents of the prison.
On the other hand, the food quality of the prison has been extremely degraded and prisoners are facing malnourishment and excessive hunger.
“Human rights Activists for Democracy in Iran”, condemns the acute physical condition and lacking of treatment of this political prisoner that has seriously endangered his life, and urges the general secretary of UN, UN High Commissioner and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to refer the case of Supreme leader, Mullah Ali khamenei, crimes against humanity to International courts.

Campaign for halting torture and execution in Iran

We are a group of Iranian youth active in social networks. We are engaging in activities against imprisonment, torture and execution in Iran. Identification, arrest and detention, torture and group executions are daily calamities happening continuously over the past 33 years in Iran. 
There is no a single day in which we do not hear the news of torture and executions through stoning in Iran, especially the execution of teenagers haven’t grown up to the legal age for accountability for criminal actions. The news are shocking. 
Recently a blogger worker was detained for simply writhing critical posts and was tortured to death within a week. The prisoners who have seen him in Evin prison wrote a letter addressing the world public: “we have seen Sattar Beheshti when they brought him out of the hell to the earth.”
Wall Street Journal reported: “An unknown blogger killed under torture when detained by the MPs (for Tehran)”…Sattar Beheshti, 35, was a day laborer who wrote about the suffering of people around him and criticized the Iranian regime. Political Prisoners in Iran disappear, often without charge or trial… although once an unknown blogger, Sattar Beheshti is now the newer champion of the democracy movement advocates in Iran. His writings have been widely distributed this week.”
Jamil Savidi, another worker prisoner, was killed under brutal torture during the past few days. Sattar Syyahi was an Iranian poet in Ahwaz City, southern of Iran who was frequently threatened to death for criticizing the regime and eventually murdered. Hassan Mohamadi, a Kurdish political prisoner was executed as a drug smuggler together with four others. His brother immediately denied such allegations and announced that he was a political prisoner and Mohammadi’s family has long been opponents of the Islamic Republic.
These are a small part of the recent days’ black record of the religious fascism ruling Iran, which has hurts the conscience of every man. Hassan and Sattar and Jamil are not the first victims of the Khamenei’s and Ahmadinezhad’s suppression machine. Evin, Gohardasht and hundreds of the small and large prisons, overt and covert, managed by the Mullahs regime’s criminals, have been the torturing and death chambers of hundreds of thousands political prisoners in the black era of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Currently a large number of the political prisoners are under pressure, torture and subject to subject to murder and execution; Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani, etc. is just one of thousands. Nasrin Sotoudeh is an imprisoned lawyer and mother of two young children who has been banned from visiting her children and her spouse and she is now in hunger strike. Abolfazl Abedini is one of the prisoners who testified about his observations of Sattar Beheshti’s torture. He was exiled from Evin prison of Iran to Ahvaz prison. Abedini has said that he will go unlimited hunger strike to protest against his exile. Arzhang Davoodi the political prisoner was exiled to Bandar Abbas after spending 127 days in solitary confinements of ward 209 of Evin prison.
Masoumeh Dehghan, the spouse of the imprisoned lawyer Abdolfattah Soltani, was sentenced to one year imprisonment and ban on leaving the country to five years.
The prison guards have prevented from delivering of medicine to the political prisoner Zahra Mansouri, and her life is in danger due to epilepsy.
Political prisoner Ali Moezzi has been moved to solitary confinement, deprived of having visitors. Ali Moezzi has been jailed on charges of moharebeh (war against God) and supporting the MEK; He is suffering from cancer and he is not allowed to treat.
In order to prevent the prisoners from communicating with outside, noise waves are dispatched to disrupt the prisoners’ telephone communication means.
This extremely inhumane act has endangered the prisoners’ health and has caused dry mucosa, muscle aches and severe headaches among the political prisoners.
At least 100 prisoners have been executed collectively. Within the past 24 days, at least 100 prisoners have been collectively and arbitrarily executed.
The lack of a firm policy towards the Iranian regime and the continued diplomatic relations and economic transactions with the mullahs Just fuels the torture, terror and execution machinery as well as their nuclear projects. We demand all the human rights advocates and social networks activists like Twitter and Facebook etc., to assist and accompany us in the campaign of preventing the torture and execution in Iran.
