On Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, 11 prisoners were transferred from penitentiary prison in Karaj to solitary confinements of Section 1 in Gohardasht prison in Karaj to be executed. Today morning their family gathered in front of Gohardasht prison in Karaj and called on stopping the inhumane execution decrees of their loved ones. Also in the same day, 8 prisoners, and in the Monday morning Nov. 12,2012, 1 prisoner from Unit 2 of Qezelhesar prison, Halls 2, 1, 4, and 7 were transferred to solitary confinements to be executed. The name of the prisoner that today morning was transferred to solitary confinements to be executed is Ghasem Tajik, 40, from Afghanistan who was for 3 years on hall 4 of Qezelhesar prison. Hall 4 of Qezelhesar prison is a place for holding Afghan prisoners and currently there are 110 persons waiting for execution.
The families of those 11 transferred prisoners in penitentiary of
Karaj were informed that until 12 pm they can come for the last visit,
and they will be executed in today evening after 19 pm.
