Call to save two Dervishes prisoners who are on hunger strike
The Iranian resistance calls on all international bodies and human rights organizations, specially the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran for an urgent action to save the lives of Mr. Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri, two Gonabadi Dervishes, who have been on hunger strike since 67 days ago.
These two political prisoners, after 64 days of hunger strike on liquid diet, have started a dry hunger strike since Thursday March 21. They have gone on hunger strike to protest the imprisonment of a number of Dervishes’ lawyers in solitary confinement of section 209 of Evin prison in the past 70 days and lack of care for their critical conditions.
Mr. Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri, who are imprisoned in Shiraz Adel Abad prison on the charges of “propaganda against the regime, acting against national security” among others, are under very critical condition due to 67 days of hunger strike. The henchmen, despite their weakness, severe weight loss, severe eyesight loss, kidney, stomach, colon and liver pain and failure, refrain from providing medical care citing the excuse of holidays.
During the rule of Supreme Leader (Velayat-e-Faqih) system, Dervishes have been under oppression and pressure. Attacking religious ceremonies, beating and arresting Dervishes, torturing and insulting them for “disturbance on national security”, exile, ban on visits and failing to provide medical care, etc. are among suppressive measures against Dervishes,

Physical and psychological torturing and enticement of Baloch political prisoners to confess against Molavi Abdolhamid
![]() |
| Molavi Abdolhamid, Iranian Baloch Sunni Leader |
Almost most of the Baloch political prisoners in Zahedan prison undergo brutal physical and psychological tortures by the interrogators to confess against Molavi Abdolhamid. The IM interrogators normally fasten the political prisoners to a bed called the “miracle bed”, tie his hands and feet and put electric shocker on the sensitive parts of the prisoner’s body for prolonged periods of time; biting by the cable, prolonged hanging, denuding the prisoners and filming of them, threatening them for arresting their mother, sister, spouse, children and father and torturing them before the eyes of the prisoner and numerous other tortures.
During these barbaric tortures the prisoner is asked to assume the responsibility of the operations occurred in the province and state that Molavi Abdolhamid had been the commander and encouraging figure behind such actions
The IM interrogators and especially Mohammad MArziyeh, General Attorney of Zahedan, call the political prisoners who are supposed to be executed the next day and propose them that they would be released immediately if they repeat in front of the TV camera what the interrogators dictate. From these prisoners was Abdolbaset Rigi, the freedom fighter martyr who was recently executed. Several previously executed political prisoners had received such proposition before.
From the most notably officials who play major role in bloody suppression of the Balochi people and execution of the Baloch fellow political prisoners and plotting against Molavi Abdolhamid, Mohammad MArziyeh, General Attorney of Zahedan, Colonel Zakeri, one of the security officials of the province, Commander Bashir Ahmad Rigi (who is said to be the 4th in security officials’ ranking of the Province) and Mahgoli, the branch 1 head of Zahedan Revolutionary Court can be mentioned. Mahgoli issues all the death sentences and heavy punishments that are issued against the Baloch political prisoners.
Human Rights and Democracy Advocates in Iran condemns torturing and enticement of the Baloch fellow political prisoners to confess against the Sunni leader, Molavi Abdolhamid for the purpose of case building and damaging this religious and political figure. We urge the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to refer Ali Khamenei’s case to the international courts for trial.

UN General Assembly 3rd Committee strongly condemns Iran on gross human rights violations
![]() |
| UNGA Third Committee |
The Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran in his speech in the Third Committee called on Iran to release all political prisoners and executions to be halted.
Furthermore, representatives of various countries across the world including the European Union, United States, United Kingdom, Norway, Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Brazil condemned Iran for its crimes and called for a still in the executions.
UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran Ahmad Shaheed’s 23-page report to the UN General Assembly states that political prisoners continue to be deprived of medical services which have led to the death of at least two prisoners including Mansour Radpoor in Gohardasht Prison, west of Tehran. These reports also indicated the deteriorating health of political prisoners that are faced with poor hygiene conditions, deprived of adequate food and very rare access to their family members.
It is worth noting that PMOI member Mansour Radpoor passed away in May of this year in Gohardasht Prison after enduring 5 years in jail in the mullahs’ dungeons while enduring inhuman pressures imposed by the regime’s henchmen, interrogators and torturers. He bravely stood for the freedom of the Iranian people.
Following the Special Rapporteur’s speech, representatives of various countries in their speeches condemned human rights violations in Iran under the mullahs’ dictatorship. They called on the Special Rapporteur for measures to impel the regime to abide by its international obligations.
The US representative said repression in Iran is far worse than dreadful. Torture and execution of political prisoners are examples of violating international covenants of political and civil rights. Many in Iran are sentenced to death without undergoing any judicial procedure merely for attempting to practice their right of freedom.
The European Union delegation said it is deeply concerned over the human rights situation in Iran because all five global conventions on human rights are being violated by Iran. It is necessary, they added, for the trend of executions in Iran to be taken into special consideration.
Condemning human rights violations and executions in Iran, the UK representative called the Special Rapporteur for urgent action in this regard.
The Canadian representative condemned torture and other cruel punishments enforced by the Iranian regime, saying it is deeply concerned over the human rights situation in Iran. The Canadian envoy expressed worries over depriving rights, including freedom of speech and assembly and restrictions against women in Iran.
Also, the Norwegian representative expressed concerns over the widespread human rights violations and demanded the release of political prisoners.
Representatives of various countries including Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Brazil called for international action to stop executions in Iran.
Iran’s representative in this session had an outburst response in this session to the wave of condemnations from the Special Rapporteur and various countries.
Why aren’t human rights violations in Canada, the European Union and US taken into consideration, the mullahs’ representative complained.
It is worth noting that in contrast to previous sessions where the regime’s allies, consisting of various governments who themselves have records of human rights violations, rose in defense of the mullahs, in this year’s session only China – the world record holder in executions – supported Iran.It is Iran’s choice how to protect human rights, the Chinese government representative said in its infamous defense of the bloodthirsty mullahs ruling Iran.
